Description:

NHS England is committed to increasing public participation in research. We have co-developed a guide for researchers to support their work to encourage more people to take part in research. The guide has been developed in partnership with a number of community groups and with involvement from researchers. It identifies the barriers to participating in research faced by under-represented groups and provides practical tips to explore how these can be addressed. In an accompanying blog Dr Natalie Darko, subject matter expert and guide advisor explains why diverse participation in health research is so important to delivering high quality, evidence-based healthcare.
