Description:

In 2021/22, NIHR piloted a community engagement programme in three local areas across England. The aim of Research Ready Communities is to build relationships with communities that are currently under-served by health and care research, and increase their access to health and care research opportunities.

This report provides a summary of the pilot's activities, impact, and key learnings that can help to improve inclusion for under-served groups in health and care research. The Research Ready Communities programme is now being implemented across England by all 15 Local Clinical Research Networks. For more information about the programme, please contact crncc.ppie@leeds.ac.uk.
