Description:

Varied Voices, an NIHR learning module, is now available on BMJ Learning.

The course helps researchers, healthcare professionals, and others:

- understand diversity and inclusion in research and the benefits of incorporating diverse perspectives
- improve diversity in research by exploring barriers that discourage involvement and describing strategies to overcome them.

It drew on learnings from the NIHR’s Race Equality Public Action Group (REPAG), which gives underrepresented communities a stronger voice in shaping priorities for research.

This resource is an example of how BMJ Group is working with the NIHR to maximise the impact of health and care research and strengthen collaborations with people and communities.
