Description:

This is a website to support researchers in creating accessible and inclusive patient information leaflets (PILs) for clinical trials. These resources were co-created with members of the public, representatives from charities, patient organisations and members of marginalised communities. The accessible PIL is part of a 'layered approach' to giving information, which aims to give patients the information they want to know to help them to decide if they are interested, before finding out more. The MAPLE website contains essential guidance to follow to enable researchers to modify a downloadable template accessible PIL for their own trials. The MAPLE resources have been co-created to support accessibility and inclusion, and are designed to supplement researchers' trial-specific public involvement.
